About Imerovigli
Imerovigli sits just above Fira on the caldera cliffs, and it is the highest point of that rim. The village is sometimes called the Balcony of the Aegean, a name that fits the view down over the water.
A visit is mostly a walk. Continue uphill from Firostefani, follow the trail markers through the village, and stop at the viewpoints. The path toward Oia passes Profitis Ilias Church, where the trail forks between an easy route and a rougher one with the best views.
