Princess Cruises
Princess Cruises is probably best known for introducing the idea of a cruise vacation to people all across America. For close to ten years, millions of television viewers stepped aboard the Pacific Princess, aka The Love Boat, to vicariously experience the romance and adventure of cruising. Amazingly enough, this popular sitcom was a turning point for both Princess Cruises and the industry itself, bringing people on board ships in larger numbers than ever before.
Today, Princess Cruises has grown to a fleet of 16 exciting and innovative ships, with a new build that will debut in the summer of 2013. Every vessel is designed with spacious decks, elegant public spaces and well-appointed staterooms with amenities you would expect from a first class hotel.
Families love Princess Cruises! The experienced counselors that staff their Youth Centers and Teen Lounges are ready to ensure that even the youngest cruisers stay happy all day long. Theres everything from art projects, game tables, the latest movies, pizza parties, talent shows, video games, and much more.
The concept of personal choice dining was pioneered by Princess, allowing guests the flexibility of dining when and with whom they choose, in a variety of upscale restaurants or more casual venues. Princess Cruises is the first cruise line to have its entire fleet inducted into Le Chaine des Rotisseurs, one of the worlds leading gastronomic societies devoted to promoting fine dining and preserving the camaraderie and pleasures of the table!
A cruise ship innovation when it debuted aboard Caribbean Princess in 2004, Princess Movies Under the Stars, a giant poolside movie theater, has become one of the lines signature features. Guests can enjoy first run movies, concerts and sporting events while relaxing in a cushioned lounger with freshly-popped, complimentary popcorn under a blanket of stars.
Select ships feature the inviting piazza-style grand atrium, inspired by the bustling piazzas of Italy. This unique public square, with its tempting eateries, casual shops, and live entertainment, is the heart of the ship. Various street performers and lots of comfortable seating make this area of the ship a fun place to have a drink or people watch both day and night.
Princess offers an extensive selection of worldwide sailings with more than 150 itineraries to over 300 destinations around the world. No cruise line is more at home in Alaska, offering Gulf of Alaska and Inside Passage sailings with an extensive selection of inland cruise tours. There are also itineraries of various lengths to Asia, India, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Hawaii, Tahiti, Canada, New England, and of course, the Caribbean.
