The short answer
The Last Prima Class Ship, Built for the Mediterranean
Norwegian Bella is the sixth and final Prima Class ship and, with its sister Norwegian Aura, the largest ship in the Norwegian fleet. It sails seven-night round trips from Barcelona from May 2028, with a pool deck more than 15 percent larger than on Aqua and Luna, Bella-named thrills at the top of the ship and 159 Haven suites designed by Piero Lissoni.
Open for booking
Bella's first season from Barcelona starts in May 2028, and it is open to book now.

Q2Where does it sail?
Round trips from Barcelona call at Rome, Florence and Salerno in Italy, Marseille in France and Palma de Mallorca in Spain.
Q3How is Bella different from Norwegian Aura?
The two are the same size and share Ocean Heights, the pool deck attractions and Vibe Beach Club. Bella sails from Barcelona while Aura sails the Caribbean, and Bella's pool deck, Ocean Boulevard seating and Piero Lissoni Haven are its own.
Q4What is on the top decks?
Ocean Heights, on decks 18 to 21: Eclipse Racers, Bella Free Fall, The Wave, The Drop, the Bella Ropes Course and Moon Climber, with Bella Midway and mini golf on deck 20.
Q5What has Norwegian not announced yet?
Restaurants and bars outside The Haven, the spa, entertainment and pricing.
Q6Can I book Norwegian Bella now?
Yes. Bella opened for sale on October 20, 2026, and Direct Line Cruises can quote any sailing by phone.
Ocean Heights is an open-air complex on decks 18 to 21 packed with Eclipse Racers, Bella Free Fall, The Wave (a pendulum raft slide for up to four riders), The Drop (the Prima Class dry slide that falls ten decks), the Bella Ropes Course and Moon Climber. It is the highest outdoor activity zone on the ship.

What Is New on Norwegian Bella
Bella is not a blank-sheet design. It is built to the same larger Prima Class design as Norwegian Aura, and both ships are taking shape at Fincantieri in Italy. Several things, though, belong to Bella alone.
The name comes first. Bella is Italian for beautiful, and the ship wears original hull art by Australian contemporary artist George Rose, whose design draws on organic forms and vivid color. It continues Norwegian's long tradition of giving each new ship its own hull art.
The main pool deck is more than 15 percent larger than the pool decks on Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, and it adds an infinity hot tub and a big LED screen. On a week of busy port days, that extra room matters most on the afternoons everyone heads back to the pool at once.
Ocean Boulevard, the deck 8 promenade that wraps the ship, has more seating than on Aqua and Luna, with hot tubs, an outdoor bar and Infinity Beach along the way.
The Haven by Norwegian on Bella holds 159 suites at the aft of the ship, designed by Piero Lissoni. Haven guests use keycard access and private elevators, and they share a sundeck with an infinity pool, hot tubs and an outdoor sauna, a private restaurant and bar, and 24-hour butler service. The suite lineup includes two-level Haven duplex suites.
Then there is the homeport. Bella spends its first season sailing from Barcelona, while Norwegian Aura, due in May 2027, will sail the Caribbean. That puts Norwegian's two newest and largest ships on opposite sides of the Atlantic.
The Inaugural Mediterranean Season
Bella's first season is a seven-night round trip from Barcelona, calling at Rome, Florence and Salerno in Italy, Marseille in France and Palma de Mallorca in Spain. That is a week of some of the western Mediterranean's best-loved places without a single one-way flight.

Early sailings on a brand-new ship tend to draw experienced cruisers who want to be among the first aboard, so the first weeks of the season are the ones to watch if you want a specific stateroom or suite.
Starting and ending in Barcelona keeps the travel simple. There is no repositioning cruise to work around, and the city's cruise terminal is a short ride from its international airport.
What Bella Shares with Norwegian Aura
Bella and Aura are sister ships of the same size: about 170,000 gross tons, 1,129 feet long and 3,921 guests at double occupancy. Much of what makes Aura the biggest step yet for the Prima Class carries over to Bella.

Ocean Heights is the open-air complex on decks 18 to 21. On Bella it holds Eclipse Racers; Bella Free Fall; The Wave, a pendulum raft slide for up to four riders; The Drop, the Prima Class dry slide that falls ten decks; the Bella Ropes Course; and Moon Climber.

If you have followed Norwegian Aura, Bella's top decks and pool deck will look familiar. The differences come down to the name, the hull art, the homeport, the bigger pool deck and more seating on Ocean Boulevard, and The Haven, which is Piero Lissoni's design for Bella.
Staterooms and Suites
Bella has nearly 2,000 staterooms. Norwegian's renderings show the range, from studios for solo travelers to two-level Haven duplex suites.

As of October 27, 2026, Norwegian has not detailed every part of Bella. Bookings are open, so it helps to know exactly what is still to come.
Restaurants and bars outside The Haven have not been named. Aura's dining lineup is known, but Norwegian has not said which venues will sail on Bella, so do not book on the assumption that a particular specialty restaurant will be there.
Entertainment is still to come: theater shows, live music and any productions created for Bella. So are the details of the spa and fitness center.
With the debut about 19 months away, there is time for those details to arrive.
Staterooms are open now; the details can follow
Booking early gives you the widest choice of staterooms and suites. We will help you plan dining and shows as Norwegian announces them.
The Prima Class began with Norwegian Prima in 2022 and Norwegian Viva in 2023, each about 142,500 gross tons. Norwegian Aqua arrived in 2025 at 156,300 gross tons and introduced the Aqua Slidecoaster. Norwegian Luna followed in 2026 at a similar size.
Norwegian Aura and Norwegian Bella are the next step up: about 9 percent larger than Aqua and Luna and about a fifth larger than Prima and Viva.
With Bella, the Prima Class is complete. Norwegian has already ordered a new, larger class of ships, with the first expected around 2030, so Bella closes one chapter of the fleet.
