It's Time to Cruise to Bermuda!

June 13, 2019

Bermuda…pink sand beaches, crystal clear turquoise waters, pastel colored houses…as if that isn’t enough of an excuse to immediately book a cruise to Bermuda, we’ve compiled a few more reasons as to why we think a Bermuda cruise should be a part of your summer plans!

It’s so easy to cruise to Bermuda from the northeast United States.  There is probably a departure port closer than you think; New York City, Bayonne, Boston, Baltimore, and Charleston.  It’s likely one of these ports is a short drive from your home.  In addition, there’s a good chance your favorite cruise line has a Bermuda itinerary on this year’s calendar. Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line and Disney Cruise Line all have multiple sail dates.

Bermuda's miles of coastline is dotted with gorgeous pink sand, dramatic rock formations and hidden coves. USA Today named Horseshoe Bay one of the Caribbean’s top 10 beaches (even though Bermuda isn’t technically in the Caribbean). There’s a beach that’s perfect for everyone; sunbathers, swimmers, snorkelers and body surfers alike.

Cruisers love when a ship stays in port overnight and that’s pretty common on Bermuda sailings. Some ships stay two nights.  In those cases your ship really acts like a floating hotel.  You can come and go as you please enjoying the restaurants and night-life on the island. Bermuda is a beautiful and safe island with plenty to see and do so it’s nice to have extra time there.

Whether by bus, bike, ferry, scooter, or taxi, it’s so safe and simple to explore Bermuda. And if

you’re cruising with Norwegian Cruise Line, they make it even easier. I love that they provide a ferry for their guests, free of charge, which sails roundtrip from the Royal Dockyard to St George’s several times a day. St George’s is a lovely place to visit.

The Bermuda cruising season is short, so you shouldn’t put off making your cruise reservation.  Ships cruise to Bermuda from May to October.  That’s when the seas are calmer and the weather in Bermuda is well….perfect! So really, do you need more reason than that to book your cruise?
