It takes about 20 minutes for a taxi to drive the 10 miles to Nauticus in Norfolk, where the cruise terminal is located. The ride is metered and costs about $20.

Cruise passengers that drive to the pier can park at the Cedar Grove parking lot located in downtown Norfolk. It is suggested that you first drop off your luggage with a porter at the terminal before proceeding to parking.  The parking fee is $15 per night, (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, cash and Travelers Checks are accepted), and no reservation is necessary.  Complimentary shuttles are available to get you back to the pier.

Virginia Beach: The span of white sandy beach goes on further than the eye can see! It’s flanked by a three mile long boardwalk that is dotted with family friendly attractions but the highlight for kids of all ages is the amusement park. There are plenty of ocean front hotels to choose from and wonderful shops and restaurants.

Norfolk, VirginiaColonial Williamsburg: Step back in time; the 18thcentury to be exact, and learn how Williamsburg played a major role in the American Revolution. Stroll through a recreated town of homes, shops, and public buildings. There are re-enactments, demonstrations, lectures, theater, and so much more! Be sure to leave time for a visit to Yorktown and the Jamestown settlement.

Busch Gardens: Not a garden at all, but an amusement park divided into seven sections, each themed to a different European country.  Lots of thrill rides, shows, restaurants and shops, it’s one of the best parks in this country.

Water Country USA: Nothing goes better on a hot and humid summer day than a water park! Water Country USA has over 30 rides and attractions to keep you cool. New for 2011 is “Vanish Point”, a 75 foot drop slide! Of course if you’re chicken, there’s the relaxing lazy river!

General Directions
•Start out going Southwest on Terminal toward Parking. 0.1 miles.
•Turn right onto Robin Hood Road for 1.4 miles Turn left onto N. Military Highway / VA-165.
•Turn left onto N. Military Highway / VA-165.
•Continue to follow N. Military Highway for 0.9 miles.
•Stay straight to go to N. Military Highway / US-13 South for 1.6 miles.
•Merge onto I-264 West, toward downtown Norfolk / Portsmouth, approximately 3.8 miles.
•Take Waterside Drive Exit #9 on the left approximately 0.3 miles.
•Stay straight to go to VA-337 ALT E/ Waterside Drive approximately 0.6 miles.
•Turn left onto West Main Street approximately 0.1 miles and you’ll end at Waterside Drive and the Pier Terminal.
