Seabourn Encore

For 2016, Seabourn plans to release its most luxurious vessel yet. The Seabourn Encore, modeled after 2009’s Seabourn Odyssey but featuring more spacious interiors, encourages exploration through its communal spaces, artwork, and far-flung, exotic itineraries.

Adam D. Tihany, an expert hospitality designer, has been developing the interior spaces, from the dining room to the individual cabins. Discouraging monotony and unoriginality, his concept is all about surprise and spontaneity.

Features

Compared to past classes, the Seabourn Encore fits 34 percent more passengers and offers 26 percent more room. The 600 passengers onboard will see larger public areas and more decks, and get to select from detailed, roomy, and comfortable cabins.

Seabourn’s trademark features remain intact. Have a drink from your in-room bar, relax with personal entertainment, and feel like you’re traveling in the ocean’s most sophisticated vessel through a combination of colors, fabrics, and glossy finishes.

Dining

Seabourn has been working with world-renowned chef Thomas Keller, and for the Encore, his American-French fusion will have a strong presence.

The ship, first and foremost, will feature his creations in the main dining room, all developed specifically for this cruise and made out of the highest-quality ingredients. Then, as another dining choice, the Encore will include one of his restaurants.

Along with this exciting new edition, the Seabourn Encore’s dining choices begin with The Restaurant, where all three meals are served with open seating. For a casual bite, come over the The Colonade, a spot with indoor and outdoor seating and regionally-themed dishes for dinner.

As a second casual choice, the Patio Grill gives you salads, pasta, and pizza right by the pool, and even has a full menu for dinner. Then, when you want to relax, Seabourn Square fuses a library, sitting room, and a computer center with a European-style coffee bar.

Should you want some privacy for your meal, in-suite dining continues to be available.

Activities

Seabourn cruises continue to focus on building knowledge and experiences. In this vein, the Encore will offer a few expert-driven programs.

Shopping with the chef at a local market exposes you to multiple dishes, produce, and recipes. Between ports, Seabourn Conversations brings speakers on board to touch on art, food, culture, and current affairs topics.

For more low-key choices, come by The Shops at Seabourn to browse imported and designer goods, or The Spa lets you re-energize during an afternoon with an array of treatments, all-natural ingredients, a full-service salon, and an ocean-view gym.

As Seabourn cruises get passengers to know each other and share experiences, Seabourn to a Tea seems like the perfect opportunity for grabbing a cup and having a chat. You’ll be presented with white glove service, a range of teas and tisanes, and a buffet.

During the day, enjoy your surroundings with the Marina or Caviar on the Surf. Seabourn unfolds its on-board marina, allowing you to kayak, swim, paddleboard, or go on a boat. By the shore, you’ll get to savor fine caviar and champagne with barbecue and music on some of the world’s most beautiful beaches.

Once evening rolls around, stop by the Observation Lounge to socialize and take in the piano music. Or, if you’re looking for a show, the Grand Salon is the spot for catching a live performance, from comedy to classical music. For a night out, The Club blends live music and dancing, while you’ll be able to select your favorite drink at the Sky Bar and Patio Bar.

And, if you’re looking to see how far your luck goes, the Encore’s casino has traditional dealer and modern mechanical games.
