Setting sail in 2008, the MS Eurodam represents Holland America’s new Signature-class ships. These vessels feature an 11-deck design with a pan-Asian restaurant, lounges with gorgeous panoramic views, a jewelry boutique, a new atrium bar, a reconfigured show lounge, and an updated photographic and imaging center. As well, Holland America had the MS Eurodam built with the latest state-of-the-art navigation and safety systems. Like many Holland America ships, art is at the heart of this vessel, with the MS Eurodam displaying a Dutch Golden Age theme. Throughout, you’ll see works by both Dutch masters and contemporary artists.

The Basics

As Holland America’s 80th ship, the MS Eurodam is also the largest, providing spacious accommodations for 2,104 passengers. Currently, it travels throughout the Mediterranean and Western Europe in spring, goes around the Baltic region, Scandinavia, and the British Isles in summer, and then makes Canadian itineraries in September and October. The ship offers Caribbean cruises during the winter months. Even with the upgrades, the MS Eurodam sticks with Holland America’s standard stateroom combinations. The basic options – Interior, Ocean View, and Vista Suites – feature such accommodations as luxurious Euro-top beds, massaging showers, fresh fruit, bathrobes, toiletries, high-quality hairdryers, and a television with DVDs. The next levels up – Neptune and Pinnacle Suites – add such amenities as a mini-bar, one-touch phone, flowers, laundry service, high tea on request, and access to the exclusive Neptune Lounge.

Dining

What sets the MS Eurodam apart from previous Holland America ships is the diversity and range of dining options, including the following: Rembrandt Dining Room: Quality service accompanies a five-course continental meal, with an extensive wine list available. Options are available for vegetarian and low-carb meals. Tamarind Restaurant and Silk Lounge: Savor delicious pan-Asian cuisine as you enjoy a panoramic view from the lounge. Pinnacle Grill: Make reservations ahead of time for this intimate, elegant establishment serving seafood, steaks, and wine. Taste of De Librige: An upgrade to the Pinnacle Grill brings the tastes of Michelin chef Jonnie Boer onboard, with meals based on his Dutch restaurant’s offerings. Canaletto: Get a quality Italian meal during your travels across the world. Lido Restaurant: Fresh, made-to-order meals are served in a relaxed setting. Explorations Café: A coffeehouse atmosphere is the perfect place to start your day.

Activities

Casino on the MS EurodamHolland America’s staples – the Digital Workshop, Culinary Arts Center, and Greenhouse Salon & Spa – are intact with this new design, allowing you to continue taking and preserving quality pictures and video, enjoying cooking demonstrations, or relaxing after a long day exploring in port. But the MS Eurodam takes relaxation up to a new level – literally – with private cabanas. Available by day or for the entire cruise, these spots are perfect for winding down and taking in the scenery from the ship. Spa Suites and Staterooms upgrade the spa experience, adding special amenities to traditional services. At night, the Main Stage Show Lounge is home to many performances from vocalists, dancers, illusionists, comedians, and variety acts, while the Crow’s Nest, with a 270° view, is perfect for dancing into the early morning. Children, too, can find things to do onboard. Club HAL features activities for those 3 to 12 years of age, while The Loft is designed for those 13 to 17.
