Celebrity Silhouette

The Celebrity Silhouette is the fourth of five ships in Celebrity’s Solstice-class of ships, which includes the Celebrity Solstice, the Celebrity Eclipse, the Celebrity Equinox, the Silhouette and the Celebrity Reflection. As one of this premium class of ships, the Celebrity Silhouette offers its guests an upscale, yet relaxed and unpretentious cruise experience that is highlighted by value. At 122,000 tons, the Celebrity Eclipse is big enough to offer spacious accommodations (with stateroom sizes ranging from a minimum of 177 square feet to an incredibly large 1,291 square feet) and spacious public areas, including the lush ½ acre Lawn Club, a multi-level theater with over 1,000 seats, a huge casino, spa and state-of-the-art fitness center. The beautifully appointed main lobby area can be compared favorably to the lobbies found in some of the finest hotels, with glass-enclosed elevators quietly whisking guests from floor to floor. But, despite her size (or, perhaps because of it), there’s one thing that you won’t find on the Celebrity Silhouette. Unlike some of the so-called mega-ships that try to pack in as many activities (and passengers) as possible, you won’t find crowds in the public areas of the Silhouette. That’s because she was designed with a generous space ratio of 42.8 tons per passenger (based on double occupancy), which is comparable (and in some cases better than) the space ratios on so-called “luxury ships” at much higher prices. So, once again, the key word is “value”. It’s may not be the “cheapest” cruise ship in the market, but, if you’re looking for a ship that’s “a cut above” the mass market ships in the industry, you’ll get more than your money’s worth on the Celebrity Silhouette.
Dining on the Celebrity Silhouette is a culinary adventure. With ten different restaurants, choosing where to eat each night may be the most difficult decisions you have to make on your cruise. In addition to the main dining room and other dining venues that are open to all guests at no extra charge, there are several specialty restaurants that require a per person cover charge. These include the elegant Murano Restaurant, the Tuscan Grille (a fine steakhouse that overlooks the ocean from the back of the ship) and Qsine, where guests get to sample an incredible variety of unusual appetizers, entree’s, side dishes and deserts at every meal. It’s a place where eating is truly exciting and fun. Then there’s the Lawn Club Grill (a first on the Silhouette), which offers outdoor grilling at its absolute best. With so many different dining choices and such great food served at each restaurant, you may find it hard to leave the ship at the end of your cruise. But, alas, all good things must come to an end….at least until your next Celebrity cruise.
So, take a look at the Silhouette’s diverse itineraries and decide where your next cruise adventure will take you.
