Consumer Review:Carnival Pride was a great cruise!! The staff was awesome as was the stateroom we had. I will defintely sail Carnival Pride again and book my trip through Direct Line Cruises. Overall extremely awesome experience!
Consumer Review:Cruise was good. Ship spacious and beautiful. Pride caters to a younger crowd. Music very loud. Not the kind you like when you are 80. Could not find a lounge with nice dance music. Please define ""formal Night" My partner and one other were the only men to wear tux. First night more were formal, second night some came in shorts. These people should go to Lido for dinner and not to the formal dining room. Dancing shows were excellent. Comedies need a lot more practice. Captains Night a flop. In the Atruim, Captain spoke from balcony and there were not drinks. Other cruise lines much more elegant for meeting the captain, Holland American, R.C., Celebrity, Oceanic
Consumer Review:Didn't like Port Canaveral at all. Liked the ship and crew very much. Really liked traveling through Baltimore.
Consumer Review:I would advise anybody to go on the CARNIVAL PRIDE, that is a great ship, the people are so great, you don't believe that they are human, because they are always happy, and helpful, and so nice. they put up with a lot, and they always are very, very nice. you will have the time of your life, so get onboard the, CARNIVA PRIDE , you will love the experience, i have been on the Pride, 2 times, and i plan to go back on it again, it is the greatest feeling when you get on that ship......., you feel like you are in another world, george.
Consumer Review:Embarkation was great! Disembarkation was disorganized and much too long. 2 hours for passengers carrying their own luggage. Once they got past that, it became much more organized.
Consumer Review:Embarkation was great, fast and easy. Disembarkation was a disaster. It took over 3 hours for us to get off the ship. Very slow process. The shore excursions were overpriced for what they offered. The Atlantis tour was a ripoff. We were rushed there and rushed back with a very short layover. No time to enjoy the resort at all. We went on this cruise so we could enjoy the water slides at Atlantis. The cruise line would not allow us to book that excursion because the ship was not in port long enough. It was offered when we booked the cruise though.
Consumer Review:Embarkation was very good. But disembarkation very bad. I requsted early seating for dinner but thay gave me the late seating 8:15 pm. Eating this late got me sick and I found it to keep me from sleeping. So I had to eat at the buffet .The buffet was layed out so poorly there was always long lines and people bumping into each other. The food was poor compared to NCL or Royal Caribbean cruse lines. Also the live entertainment was a disappointment. Activities during the day were almost nonexistent. I love crusing but this time I came home very disappointed and I wished I had never gone. I do not recommend Carnival cruise line unless you stay drunk all the time.
Consumer Review:Enjoyed the Carnival Pride's staff -- very accommodating. The food was great, and the ship is run very well. Also, we believe that Carnival attracts people who are unpretentious and looking to enjoy themselves. We had a great time.
Consumer Review:Everyone was a little disappointed with the Grand Turk stop. I found that Carnival Cruises caters to drinkers and gamblers. I did not find it as relaxing as my last cruise with Princess. The food at the buffet was mediocre by comparison and the buffet was poorly organized. The dining room was as good as the previous cruise however. Evening dining was always a good experience and the stateroom was spacious and clean. If you are looking for a party that includes gambling and drinking then this would be a good cruise. I prefer a little more relaxing environment and company.
Consumer Review:Everything was 5 stars... really recommend to book "swim with the dolphins" in Freeport.
Consumer Review:Food and entertainment were just average, but the ship, the staff and the accommodations were excellent.
Consumer Review:great everything was great just wish you would go to more ports out of Baltimore and Burmuda in the summer. last year I sailed with NCL because I could go to Burmuda in June
Consumer Review:i have sailed on the carnival, pride 4 times in a row, i go to the same place, and each time, i have had so much fun. the people who work on the carnival, pride, excell to make your cruise perfect, and they do make it perfect, from entering the ship, through the dinners, the contest, shows to getting off, all my friends ask me, why don't you get on another ship, and my answer to them is, why get on another ship when every time i get on the carnival, pride, i am on the most friendly, and happy ship there is, and i also say to them, why do you go to the same beach every year, and there answer is the same as mine, because it is so enjoyable. i am getting ready to book my winter cruise, and guess what ship i am bookoing it on, THE CARNIVAL PRIDE. ......, and i will book it through, DIRECT LINE CRUISES....... i'll see you this winter, and then in may again..june 21, 2011, george.
Consumer Review:I loved Half Moon Key but Freeport was a bust and Grand Turk's Beach was nice but bottom of beach water too rocky. Too slippery in pool area onboard ship.
Consumer Review:I have been on the Carnival Pride three times and would cruise on it again anytime. The staff is wonderful. The food is great and the ship is beautiful. I love the Carnival Pride!
Consumer Review:I have previously traveled on Carnival (Triumph) and also on the Princess Cruise Lines and now the Carnival Pride. I was not impressed with the entertainment on this cruise as I have in the past. A lot of improvment needs to take place.
Consumer Review:I was a first time cruiser and loved it. Would of loved more time in Freeport and less in Nassua
Consumer Review:I would highly recommend the Carnival Pride. My family of five (which included three young adults, 17, 18 and 20) had a fabulous time on our first cruise. We are from Maryland, so getting on the cruise out of Baltimore was so convenient. There was so much to do on this ship. The crew was fantastic and couldn't do enough for you. Every meal was excellent and the service was great. Our rooms were spotless the entire time, as well as the entire ship. My family especially liked the Deck Party. We can't wait to go again!
Consumer Review:My first cruise on Carnival. The Pride was a nice ship. Great food. Great service. Excellent care. Had a very nice stateroom with a balcony. Only problem was that our cabin - 8174- was directly below the swimming pool/food/ soundstage area - all concrete floors. Several nights the music was so loud our walls were vibrating. The music did not stop until 1AM. Then the clean up began - unfortunately the metal table and chair legs scraping on concrete make a great deal of noise. The clean up would last about a half an hour. Unfortunately the breakfast set up began about 5AM - food cart wheels rolling on the concrete and more chair leg scraping as people settled in for breakfast. Luckily the entertainment was not every night but we did end up with much less sleep then we would have liked on what was to have been a nice relaxing vacation. So the lesson learned is - look closely at where your cabin is reletive to what is above, below, around you. Otherwise an excellent cruise - a little cooler then we had hoped for but it was a great get away...
Consumer Review:Not sure I will cruise on Carnival again basically because my wife and I are older and like more quiet time. All common areas of the ship seemed to be constantly bombarded with loud music, not our style. However the ships crew were the very best we have ever encountered. That alone made up for any small inconviences we might have had. The food was fantastic. The excersions were a bit pricey and really limited. Not interested in going on a cruise and then when we hit a port paying to go to a resort hotel. That just defeats the purpose of going on a cruise. We had a very nice stateroom. Larger than most for the money, well layed out, lots of storage room and AC worked great. All in all this was our 7th cruise and we have to rate it up close to the top of the list. Just next time I will be a little more choozy on the destinations.
Consumer Review:Of the 8 cruises i have taken this was by far the worst buffet. usually the buffets are equal to the dining food. On this cruise the buffet was all but closed on the formal night. also the carnival pride is too artsy.i felt like i was in a smithsonium the whole week. The good part was the ports.awesome
Consumer Review:Overall the cruise was just great. The Shore Excursion in Freeport was not. there was a lot of confusion as to where we would meet the transportation taking us back to the ship. One person told us one place, someone said some where diffierent, and we did not have a clue as to where to go. finally a bus driver said he would show us where to go and then decided to take us to the Ship because of time constraints with the ship leaving. The excursion was the Bahama Mama tour/shopping. I honestly feel that we spend such a short time in Freeport, there should not be any excursions as there is plenty to do right at the dock, which was not known to us. this is the reason for 2 star rating.
Consumer Review:Overall, the cruise was very good. People were nice, helpful and the ship was very clean. It seemed our rooms were kept picked up and serviced every time we walked out the door! The food was fantastic and so was our wait staff. The kids still talk about them! As far as the children's programs, I was disappointed. My youngest, who was 8, did not fit maturity wise in the 6-8 year old group, and her friend that we traveled with was 9. Carnival would not think of switching her group no matter who we talked to. I think there should have been some flexibility. My older daughter stayed up to attend some of the late night activities for 12-14 year olds and when we brought her to the location, the event was not happening or the children were there completely unsupervised (kids kissing in the half dark room!) I also think that some of the general dining area staff should have been more fluent in English to work on a ship in the United States. They were very incompetent at helping guests due to their lack of knowledge in the language. Other than those two areas, I can not say enough good about the Carnival Cruise. We had a very nice time.
Consumer Review:Pride was clean pretty and well appointed. Shore excursions were over priced however. Also one of the excursion was of poorer quality and a sort of place aimed at budget college spring breakers and aimed toward adults with kids. For example the resort had an area dedicated to big large sign as "beer pong tables" cruise line should vet and stand behind quality of every excursion. Clearly this was not a family oriented or high quality excersion. All ship board activites and food etc of good quality. Annoyed by having to buy soda cards for kids. Soft drinks should be included period.
Consumer Review:Staff and crew went out of way to assure a great time. Carnaval was well organized from boarding to dis embarking. Cruise director was fantastic. Would go on Carnaval again as well as any other lines
