Consumer Review:Cabin was spacious with ample storage. Bathroom was small with small shower. Cabin service was above average and the fact that they referred to us by name was a nice touch. The main dining room food and service was also above average. The dining room itself lacked ellegance. The buffet was very lacking. Not many choices and no personal attention. The entertainment was top shelf. The main shows in the theater were very enjoyable and the comedians were lots of laughs.

Consumer Review:Everything was great - Although, the stop at the private Island is always a pain - eliminate that and add another port

Consumer Review:Great cruise....Terrific staff and the Cruise Director, Jorge kept us laughing every day!! Would definitely recommend to friends.

Consumer Review:I believe the staff on the Carnival Glory could be a little more friendly. Some of the staff pass you by without even saying Good morning. The captain didn't make any annoucement concering the weather or our location or even saying Good morning until the last day at sea. The anytime dining needs improvement. My husband and I waited every night for 30-45 minutes to be seated. (given a beeper). Considering never going on a Carnival cruise again.

Consumer Review:I was very disappointed in the food on this ship. While the dining room meals were very good, the buffet and specialty restaurants were mediocre at best, and in a couple of cases very poor. The ship and our stateroom were clean but we never once actually saw our steward. I doubt I will sail with Carnival again.

Consumer Review:I would not recomend this cruise line to any one. The lack of variety of food was dissapointing. Not enough entertainment for the price of the trip. Reboarding at the port of call was very time consuming. Overall the setup of everything was too disorganized.

Consumer Review:My cruise on the Carnival Glory to Canada was enjoyable and relaxing. Even though it was short notice, Direct Line Cruises' Barbara Gronowski was able to book my cruise with no problems. Boarding the ship from the departure port (New York) was handled by the Carnival staff efficiently. The ship's staff (cabin steward, dining room waiters and assistants, casino staff, spa staff, and guest services) were very friendly, helpful, dedicated to making sure I was enjoying my cruise. The beds in my cabin were comfortable, I slept well every night and the water pressure in the shower was strong. The dining room food was gourmet style, well prepared. My favorite dessert was the "warm chocolate melting cake". There were plenty of activities on the ship (jogging/walking track, table tennis, minature golf, basketball, volleyball, swimming pools, water slide, dancing, bingo, casino, lounges, etc.) and plenty of places to just lie down, relax, and take in the fresh ocean air and work on my sun tan. The nightly shows in the Amber Theatre were well performed and entertaining. Getting off the ship back in New York was easy, no problem. To sum up the cruise, there were no problems, just relaxation, enjoyment, and warm chocolate melting cake.

Consumer Review:My husband and I loved the kayaking/lobster lunch in St. John's. However, we were disappointed that our hiking excursion to Peggy's Cove was cancelled the night before so we wound up taking the bus tour of Halifax/Peggy's Cove. Our dinner at the Steakhouse was exceptional. Overall we had a great time.

Consumer Review:Our party of 13 had a great time on the Carnival Glory to Canada in August. We lucked out with smooth sailing and beautiful sunny, warm weather each day. We enjoyed the early assigned dining time and our waiter, Freddie. We were suprised at how small the library/game room was, and the pools. The large outdoor movie screen had good movies at night and the adult Serenity area was a quiet retreat. There were many activities to do during the day and both St John and Halifax were walkable from the ship. It was an easy get-away from New York.

Consumer Review:The food was exceptional and the entertainment was very good. I personally enjoyed the excursion to Peggy's cove very much. I give it five stars. The city was worth visiting at Halifax. but New Brunwich was boring.
|
Consumer Review:The overall experience was good, however, I do think the quality of the food could be improved upon. The ship was clean and our room was exceptionally well cared for by Eddie the steward. Additional maps, or signage would be helpful in locating areas of the ship (much time was spent trying to find our way around).

Consumer Review:The ship had more personal room at the theatres, deck chair area and stateroom bathrooms as compared to the same category cabin on Royal Caribbean.

Consumer Review:This cruise was just wonderful. This cruise was excellent for SINGLES as well as FAMILIES with lots of children. This ship CARNIVAL-GLORY was percect for everyone because there were so many places to wonder and dream, dance or whatever you wanted to do. It was amazing that there were maybe more than 3000 + people but you ALWAYS HAD YOUR SPACE. The disco=great On the 12 deck OMG I thought I was in Heaven. There was also a 21+ area that was another plus. Loved the giant screen. Watched movies, something that I never do at home. This ship was one that I would try again. It was amazing how NICE the staff was. Always pleasent. I'm ready to go again.
