Scheduling Your Cruise

Disney’s cruises to the Bahamas depart from three ports: Galveston, Texas; Port Canaveral; and Miami.

Three ships then visit two of the island nation’s major ports: • Disney Dream • Disney Magic • Disney Wonder

Depending upon the itinerary, trips lasts two to seven nights at sea.

Major Ports

Although trips vary, you’ll likely see one or more of the following Bahamian ports:

Castaway Cay: Disney’s own private island unfolds into a warm paradise right by the ocean. Leisure is the name of the game, with boating, swimming, and lounging in the sun an option for all ages. And, with Disney Character Greetings in port, you know it’ll be a fun time for everyone!

During your stay, why not take advantage of the full experience? Rent a cabana by the ocean to relax, or get everyone active at the Castaway Family Beach or the island’s two play areas. Unique experiences abound. Swim or kayak in clear blue waters, see a stingray up close, or get a stunning underwater view on board a glass bottom boat.

Nassau: The country’s capital, located on New Providence Island, blends an Old World Colonial character with modern recreation options. Get to know both with Disney.

For part of your time in port, absorb your surroundings by shopping at boutiques and jewelry stores on Bay Street and then partaking in authentic Bahamian cuisine, including delicious lobster and seafood. From there, explore the land and country’s history a bit more, with tours taking travelers to Fort Charlotte, the Queen’s Staircase, Versailles Gardens, and The Cloisters.

But soaking up the sun is a main reason many visit this island paradise. So be sure to head over to Atlantis Resort or to schedule a harbor cruise. Either way, you’ll be by the water soaking up the sun’s rays and gorgeous scenery.
