When traveling with Carnival Cruise Lines, there are rules to which passengers must abide. Many of these rules relate to the age of passengers. Some of the amenities available on the ship are restricted based on travelers' ages. These include the fitness centers, pools, and casinos. In addition to governing the spaces on the ship, there are rules pertaining to the purchase of alcoholic beverages. Even if passengers have traveled with other cruise lines, they should be aware that the rules can differ from operator to operator. Alcoholic beverages can only be sold to passengers who are at least 21 years old and have identification that can prove it. The enforcement of this rule does not depend on the departing port or the location of the ship during the cruise. In addition to restricting the sale of alcohol, rules are in place that dictate who can enter the casinos and dance clubs. Anyone over 18 can gamble in the casino or attend the dance clubs. Those under 18, though, will need to leave the dance clubs before 10:45 PM and cannot enter the casino.
