Azamara Cruise Lines

Azamara Cruise Lines is a subsidiary of Celebrity Cruises and is a deluxe cruise line. Typically, cruises are offered in four levels of opulence:

  • Bargain
  • Mass-market
  • Premium
  • Luxury

Deluxe cruises fall between premium and luxury. The deluxe cruises automatically factor in tips to the cruise ship staff, for instance, but drinks are not included, unlike on a luxury cruise. To date, Azamara Cruise Lines is the only company that offers deluxe cruises.

Fleet of Azamara Cruise Lines

Currently, Azamara Cruise Lines only has two ships, the Azamara Journey and the Azamara Quest. Both are similar vessels, purchased from Renaissance cruises. They are smaller vessels, geared toward providing passenger attention on the level of a luxury cruise ship

Both ships attempt to create an ambiance that differs from the floating palace theme of many larger cruise ships, going more in the direction of an actual, old-time cruise ship. Wood paneling is common on all of the nine decks, along with oil paintings, fake cabinets and non-working fireplaces.

Vacation Amenities

Some of the perks Azamara Cruise Lines offers its passengers are butler service, regardless of cruise type purchased, a destination specialist¯ who can provide passengers with in-depth information about the ports of call they will be visiting as well as complimentary bathrobes. The Azamara ships cruise throughout Europe, Asia, the Caribbean and the Middle East, focusing on Israel and the Panama Canal.
